Karl Kandt served as a vocational rehabilitation counselor with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs between 2013 and 2022. He developed relationships with local workforce centers and labor departments to help disabled veterans achieve their new employment goals. In August 2014, Karl Kandt, was recognized as employee of the month. Mr. Kandt assisted veterans and transitioning service members to help them achieve their employment goals by identifying needed education, training, and certification options. Also, Karl Kandt assisted veterans with resume development, mock interviews, and networking with employers for future employment opportunities. ln addition, Mr. Kandt promoted local job and career fairs for veterans to attend.

Mr. Kandt studied communications with a minor in business as an undergraduate at Emporia State University, in Emporia, KS. He continued his education at the school, earning a master of science in counselor education. He later earned a master of science in sport administration from Wichita State University, in Wichita, KS.
